Description / Abstract: Equipment built under this specification must conform to the Spectrum Etiquette required by the FCC to allow independent PCS systems to share the unlicensed band. If there is a conflict between the FCC rules and the specifications in this document, FCC Part 15 Subpart D shall take precedent.
The technical requirements specified in this Standard form a compatibility standard for personal communications systems. Its purpose is to ensure that a Subscriber Unit can obtain service in any system manufactured according to this document.
