This document describes three methodologies forprojecting the catastrophic failure rate of LED packages.This document applies to the LED packagesas defined in ANSI/IES RP-16-10, Nomenclatureand Definitions for Illuminating Engineering. Thethree methodologies presented are for informationonly and do not represent a complete set of methodologiesin existence; these represent the methodologiesthat are publicly available, and have been madeavailable, for publication by the IES. The IES doesnot endorse any of these specific methods and it isnone of the methods described in this document areintended for incorporation or use in any standardspublication.
