This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of an unsuccessful marketing campaign by the Southern Nevada Water Authority to enact a mandatory watering schedule. The objective of the new campaign was to increasecompliance with the mandatory watering schedule. Target audience, outreach strategy and tools, and television ads are presented, along with results including awareness, understanding, recall, action, impact on water use and overall use. Presentation conclusions indicate that: targeted, high-intensity outreach appears toincrease compliance with the Mandatory WateringSchedule and significantly reduce water use; and,analyzing the results (both through quantitativesurveys and operational data) allows you to makecampaign adjustments to refine the program.
