This powerpoint presentation begins by providing the project scope that includes the following: design of a treated water transmission mainfrom water treatment plant to serve east sideof the City of San Marcos; approximately 5,300 LF of 24" DIP and 19,400 LF of30" DIP;crossing of the San Marcos River was required; and,design of parallel raw water transmissionmain under the San Marcos River forGuadalupe Blanco River Authority. Historical and archeological impacts are presented, along withenvironmental impacts and permitting, trenchless consideration, flexible restrained joint ductile iron pipe; and,installation. Presentation observations and conclusions indicate that:flexible restrained joint ductile iron pipeshould be applicable for installations wherethe following performance parameters arerequired;operating pressures greater than 160 psi;installations where pipe ID is required to meet flowrequirements; and,performs well in HDD applications.
