This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Columbus (Georgia) Water Works (CWW) and how it leveraged AwwaRF Project"Strategic Planning and OrganizationDevelopment" to update its strategic direction. CWW used six Strategy Teams toimplement its plan and modified its organization toemphasize plan implementation. The Sustainable Workforce StrategyTeam included employee engagement intheir plan, and presents Employee Engagement Strategies,Sources, and Resources. The CWW plan of action included: providing results from the 2007survey to all department managers;conducting follow-up interviews with themanagers of the departments withopportunities for improvement;conducting focus group meetings in thedepartments with opportunities forimprovement; consolidating feedback and providing asummary report to the Senior Staff; and,conducting a second survey in July 2008.
