This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of quantifying energy use and quantifying the energy needed to pump water. Reducing the cost of water supply by establishing constraints for pump scheduling, using predictive/adaptive tools for pump scheduling, and using commercially available software are presented, along with the role of hydraulic modeling and several examples of the use of hydraulic modeling for pump scheduling and energy optimization.
