Describes the background that led to the development of the Staircase Implementation Model and the individual components of the model. The CII Implementation Strategy Committee recommends that organizations use the new model to enhance current implementation processes by developing an implementation plan that fully addresses the challenges and opportunities afforded by a proposed new practice.
