This powerpoint presentation provides background information on horizontal directional drilling with ductile iron pipe/high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. Design considerations, technology options, and construction phase are presented.Conclusions were that: Ductile Iron by HDD installation, may not besuitable for tight areas;Bending properties of HDPE was better suitedfor the 2 locations;Met permit and design requirements; and,Ira Township ended up with 4 out 6 crossingswith DIP by converting to Jack and Bore.
