Where a digital computer is installed in a plant for monitoring treatment operations, the application can be augmented to include power and energy monitoring. The operator can utilize digital displays of energy and power usage to control costs while maintaining treatment, quality, and demand levels. Four major factors of the plant electric bill include energy charge, fuel adjustment charge, demand charge, and power factor adjustment.
