Full Description

This paper will focus on cleaning and cement lining of water mains in downtown Boston. The Boston Water and Sewer Commission maintains approximately 1180 miles of 6 inch through 48 inch water main of which approximately 183 miles are located in the downtown area. The piping system consists mostly of cast iron with ductile iron pipe being installed since the late 1950s.
