This slide presentation gives points on software selection and how selection is a complex process. It presents a flow chart of the traditional development of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and the fast path selection process. It discusses how business process modeling uses graphical diagrams and supporting text descriptions to describe how work is accomplished. An example of a workflow diagram is given, along with a listing of the reasons for business process analysis (BPA). The benefits of a BPA approach are given along with points for fast tracking the selection and evaluation process.
