Statistics are given on the performance of the Rolling River Water Treatment Plant as of January 1, 2003. Questions regarding the assessment of these readings are asked that inlcude: what should be checked before making adjustments; what action should be taken when filter turbidity remains stable but settled water turbidity rises; what results should be expected for turbidity, pH, and filter performance; how could filter turbidity be improved temporarily while waiting for adjustments to take effect; whether alum metering pump is delivering alum to the rapid mix; would filter aid help; and, what action should be taken when the settled water turbidity comes down but the chlorine contact basin turbidity reaches 0.30 NTU?
