Full Description

This Standard establishes requirements and referencesdocuments applicable to the preparation and revisionof digital product definition data, hereafter referred toas data sets. This Standard defines exceptions and additionalrequirements to existing ASME standards forusing product definition digital data sets or drawinggraphic sheet in digital format, hereafter referred to asdrawing graphic sheet. When no exception or additionalrequirements are stated, existing ASME standards shallapply.

It is essential that this Standard be used in close conjunctionwith ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.34,ASME Y14.35M, and ASME Y14.100. In addition, classificationcodes as defined in ASME Y14.100 may applyfor data sets that include a combination of a model anddrawing graphics sheet.
