Frost accumulates on air-cooling evaporators during industrial refrigeration applications, reducing capacity to refrigerate products. This article examines techniques for removing this frost for maximum efficiency, with attention paid to hot gas techniques. The article also shows alternative valve group designs that can provide additional safety for work crews.
