Full Description

Static pressure losses for round field constructed divided flow fittings, especially close coupled takeoff fittings and elbows was chosen as the topic of this paper. The objectives of this research effort were: (1) to investigate the loss coefficient of upstream and downstream tees for different branch spacings; (2) to investigate the effect of different main stream velocities on the loss coefficients; and (3) to generate design information for use in high velocity duct systems.
