The upgrading of employee environmental areas has been a growing concern to industrialhygienists, physicians, HEW, labor and management. With this in mind, plus the desirabilityof proper winter humidification, refrigerated air washers can be most valuable. Each year,as planning for refrigerated systems grows in all phases of industry and commerce, the increaseduse of air washers as a heat transfer medium becomes more evident for their step bystep advantage to the environmental program.

For many years air washers were mentioned only in the same breath with evaporative cooling.Now it is apparent that this spray type heat transfer system is more often than notuseful to refrigeration designs.
