Full Description

The purpose of the present study was to investigate winter guidelines (20 C or colder)proposed by the Federal Energy Administration for energy conservation in subjects performinglight office-type activity. A specific focus was in securing information on whether subjectswould select, if given a choice, adequate clothing which can alter the acceptability of a coolenvironment. A second purpose was to evaluate how local cold discomfort over different bodyareas affects males and females of different age groups.
