Full Description

This paper compares the energy usage of constant volume single duct and double duct controls assemblies to dual duct variable volume control assemblies. Additional energy losses are discussed concerning pressure and energy duplication of leading and lagging of pressure-thermostat response and suggests pressure-independent controls be used in low pressure V.A.V. systems. A dual duct low pressure V.A.V. self-contained blower control assembly is discussed which combines reheat, pressure independent control, dual duct V.A.V. and low pressure operation.
