Conference Proceeding by ASHRAE, 1980

Most noise and vibration problems can be eliminated before they exist by making a major effort to follow only a few fundamental guidelines. Designers with limited field experience or those who rely too heavily on noise and vibration control hardware often end up with a job that does not meet the owners expectations of performance or cost. Noise and vibration problems which are commonly encountered in HVAC systems are discussed.
