Steam-powered cooling is a proven technology that offers an often- overlooked alternative to electric cooling. Although this technology has advanced significantly in recent years, it has received far less attention than the predominant alternative â gas-powered cooling. To better understand steam-powered cooling, this article presents some its basic precepts and compares the most common types of chillers for large-capacity plants.
