Visitor traffic in the pharaohsâ tombs within the Valley of the Kings in Luxor, Egypt, is contributing to the deterioration of the tombsâ interior wall paintings. Contributing factors include excessive humidity, high temperature, lighting effects, pests, shock and vibration, and pollution. To preserve the tombs and contents, as well as provide for visitor comfort, a proper ventilation system is needed to control indoor climate conditions.
