Full Description

The results of an analysis of 66 units in four different building types and four climate locations show that the building type, unit runtime and supply-fan motor size are significant contributors to energy savings potential. Although savings associated with demand controlled ventilation were expected to be high in extreme climate locations, most of the climate locations in the study are not extreme. The authors advise retrofitting an existing RTU with advanced controller under the conditions outlined in the article.
