The concept ofprimary/secondary pumping has been around since the mid-1950s, when hydronicheating was in its infancy. Since its advent, this hydronic heating techniquehas been significant in the design of pumping systems for commercial heatingand chilled water-cooling systems, and, more recently, residential and lightindustrial systems.
